Stilling the mind

Stilling the mind to receive some insights is a difficult exercise. The thought shared here, in original, was prompted as a response to a very meaningful post on the subject by friend Prakash Chavan.
Put the mind in expectant, waiting and receptive mode as if waiting at the door for some important guest to make appearance. A purposeful silence shall be easier to maintain. One should, as you have mentioned, should also be aware that the task is not an easier one. Consistent effort is required to train and channelize the mind in new grooves.
